The Kitazaki district of the Itoshima Peninsula, facing Hakata Bay and the Genkai Sea, is a treasure trove of rich nature and ingredients!
Did you know that agriculture and fishing are thriving in this area, even though it is located near the city of Fukuoka?
In the midst of all this, with the strong desire to preserve the local way of life without letting the fields go to waste, I worked with members of the "Kitazaki Future Creation Association" to create compost without using pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and to keep the soil healthy through agriculture.
Come experience growing vegetables in a plastic bottle planter using compost, something you can do at home.
We will then have a cooking experience using the last harvested vegetables of the year and enjoy some delicious vegetables together!

What to bring
Please bring 2 empty plastic bottles (2L).

◆Please come dressed in comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and that you don't mind getting dirty.
◆You may get sweaty during the day, so please bring your own drinks and a towel to wipe away sweat. Please take care of your health.

Harvesting, experience fee, cooking experience fee (light meal), souvenir
*Please pay your own transportation costs to the meeting and dismissal locations.
*Parking is free.

◆This tour will proceed rain or shine.
・The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine, but may be cancelled if a warning is issued or there is heavy rain or thunderstorm. Thank you for your understanding.
・Please take measures to protect yourself from the cold and rain according to the climate.
◆Regarding cancellation of the event: In the event of storms such as typhoons and thunderstorms, or natural disasters such as earthquakes, the event will be cancelled. A decision on whether the event will go ahead will be made at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 15th, one day before the event. We will contact you via the official website and email.
