Famnic tour on a countryside walk !

Take a rural walk through the Yatsushiro Plain with young local farmers to sample delicious food!

Harvest pesticide-free baby leaves and tomatoes, the number one producer in Japan!

Experience eating rice cooked in a stove!

Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture, is blessed with rich nature, with the inland sea of Shiranui Sea to the west, rice paddy plains in the center, the Kyushu Mountains to the east, and clear streams such as the Kuma River and Hikawa River. It is one of the leading agricultural production areas in Kyushu! The Takada area is a rural landscape where tomatoes, rice, vegetables, etc. are cultivated. Enjoy delicious food while walking through such rural areas with young local farmers. The first visit is Asis farm, where you will experience harvesting baby leaves with Kataoka, who grows 50 types of tomatoes and unique vegetables such as baby leaves. Next, you will harvest tomatoes with the guidance of Okada of Tomarie Farm, who grows unique tomatoes with the aim of making tomatoes that are also spiritually enriching. Finally, you will eat rice cooked in a hearth using rice from Tsukada Farm, which produces and sells rice without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Through this experience, participants will be able to interact with local producers. You can enjoy a relaxing rural time in the countryside of Yatsushiro, one of Kyushu's leading agricultural kingdoms. *Walk about 3.2 km.

*Children under elementary school age may accompany you, but activities and meals will not be provided.

What to bring

◆Work gloves

◆Please come dressed in comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and that you don't mind getting dirty.

◆You may get sweaty during the day, so please bring your own drinks and a towel to wipe away sweat. Please take care of your health.

What is included in the tour?

Guide fee, experience fee, cooking experience fee (light meal)

* Please pay your own transportation costs to the meeting and dismissal locations.

Notes

◆This tour will proceed rain or shine.

・The event is scheduled to go ahead rain or shine, but may be cancelled if a warning is issued or there is heavy rain or thunderstorm. Thank you for your understanding.
・Please take measures to protect yourself from the cold and rain according to the climate.

◆Regarding cancellation of the event: In the event of storms such as typhoons and thunderstorms, or natural disasters such as earthquakes, the event will be cancelled. A decision on whether the event will go ahead will be made at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17th, one day before the event. We will notify you via the official website and email.
・If the event is cancelled, we will contact you later to ask for your bank details and refund your participation fee within the same month.
